Cancer-Fighting Breakfast
Folate is an important B vitamin that may help protect against cancers of the colon, rectum, and breast. You can find it in abundance on the breakfast table. Fortified breakfast cereals and whole wheat products are good sources of folate. Folate is also found in orange juice, melons, and strawberries.
Folate-Rich Foods
Other good sources of folate are asparagus and eggs. You can also find it in chicken liver, beans, sunflower seeds,peanuts and green leafy vegetables like spinach or romaine lettuce, broccoli, okra, fruits; bananas, melons, lemons, legumes, yeast, mushrooms, organ meat (beef liver, kidney), orange juice, and tomato juice. According to the American Cancer Society, the best way to get folate is not from a pill, but by eating enough fruits, vegetables, and enriched grain products. Folate, and B vitamin is found naturally in leafy green vegetables go natural. (less meat or none at all)
