Controlling Your Tongue

Controlling Your Tongue :  A significant key to glorifying God is controlling our tongue. Psalm 50:23 says, “He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me….” What would happen if you gave your mouth to God each day so that only godly words came from your lips? And I’m not just talking about praising and thanking God in your quiet time, or speaking positive, encouraging words over yourself. The health of your relationships depends on how you speak to, over and about others. Psalm 34:13 says, “Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.” Do you lie to others? Do you insult them or speak ill of them? Or do you speak encouraging, life-giving words that bring joy to everyone you meet? Dedicate your mouth to God and use it only for what pleases Him, praise and worship, edification and exhortation, and giving thanks. Place your lips on the altar each morning. Give your mouth to God through praying His Word: “O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise” (Psalm 51:15). Prayer Starter: Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will praise and thank You. Help me use my words to bring joy and life to those around me and to praise and glorify You. Verse of the Day~Vengeance

Go Forward

Go Forward

Go Forward :Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you. 2 Chronicles 20:17.) Into the daily life there come many perplexing problems that we cannot solve. There are those who wish to adjust every difficulty, to settle every question, before they begin to work. Such will surely fail. In the end, the future will be just as indistinct, and the problems just as perplexing, as when they began to speculate. It is in following the light given that we receive greater light…. Move forward at the call of God. When He points out a work to be done, in His name and with full faith take up that work. You may not see the end from the beginning. Perplexities may surround you. Your brethren may tell you of the lions in the way. But, nevertheless, go forward, saying, “The Lord wants this work done, and I will not fail nor be discouraged. I will act my part.” … There are critics who, if you listen to their words, will rob you of all heart and hope. Do not allow them to discourage you. Say, “God abideth faithful. He cannot deny Himself.” He has given to every man his work, and He calls upon all to begin to work just where they are. He cannot do what He desires to do until the human agent acts his part. At times the arm of faith seems too short even to touch the Saviour’s garment, but there stands the promise, with God behind it: “Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: and the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not” (Isaiah 58:9-11)…. It is not our efforts that bring victory. It is seeing God behind the promise, and believing and trusting Him. Grasp by faith the hand of infinite power. The Lord is faithful who hath promised. Questions will arise that cannot be settled by any amount of thinking. Do not spend time trying to settle them....

Verse of the Day

[ The Humbled and Exalted Christ ] “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. Thought for Today

Thought for Today

Our Lord is Bigger than our mistakes and Greater than our failures. We succeed in life not because of those who cooperate with us, but because of our ability to rise above those who oppose us. Thoughts are powerful forces that can affect our health, our attitudes and our relationships with others and with God. Therefore we must live out His words in our life, daily. (Philippians 2:5). says ”Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Let God fight your battles for you. He never loose any yet. So turn them over to Jesus and He will fix them for you. “ Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians 4;6 KJV) It takes only a moment to be kind but it will lasts a lifetime. Even though it may not be reciprocated we should still be kind. We should show kindness to the weak.  (Galatians 5:22-23  KJV) says “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” JESUS is my Savior, Lord & King.! Have a safe productive, Wonderful and Blessed Spirit Filled Day    Living Notes Of Life   “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV) “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
