The Fall of Babylon the Great After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.” 4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ 8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. The World Mourns Babylon’s Fall 9 “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, 10 standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ 11 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: 12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. 14 The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all. 15 The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and...

Before sin came along, there were no ”sides,” as in ”your side” and ”my side.” Before sin, all of God’s created beings were with Him After sin, some turned against Him. So for 6,000 years or more now, there have been two sides: God’s side–and Satan’s side. There is no third side. Everyone of us can choose only one of those two sides. Life— or death Good— or evil Light—or darkness Truth— or lies Trust— or doubt Love—or selfishness. Positive— or the negative CHRIST— or Satan. From The Called…the Chosen p.26 by Ken...
Purpose of Life’s Trial/Hebrews 12:10 The Saviour’s words have a message of comfort to those also who are suffering affliction or bereavement. Our sorrows do not spring out of the ground. God “doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.” Lamentations 3:33. When He permits trials and afflictions, it is “for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness.” Hebrews 12:10. If received in faith, the trial that seems so bitter and hard to bear will prove a blessing. The cruel blow that blights the joys of earth will be the means of turning our eyes to heaven. How many there are who would never have known Jesus had not sorrow led them to seek comfort in Him! {MB 10.2} The trials of life are God’s workmen, to remove the impurities and roughness from our character. Their hewing, squaring, and chiseling, their burnishing and polishing, is a painful process; it is hard to be pressed down to the grinding wheel. But the stone is brought forth prepared to fill its place in the heavenly temple. Upon no useless material does the Master bestow such careful, thorough work. Only His precious stones are polished after the similitude of a palace. [11] Excerpt from {Thoughts from the MB 10.2} [11] online. (page 16 in book) by Ellen G. What lies behind and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. Ralph Waldo Emerson You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself. Harry Firestone While words express thoughts, it is also true that thoughts follow words. If we would give more expression to our faith, rejoice more in the blessings that we know we have,–the great mercy and love of God,–we should have more faith and greater joy. Ellen G. Difficulty, trial, and sorrow await us all along the way to the heavenly home. But there are many who make life’s burdens doubly heavy by continually anticipating trouble. If they meet with adversity or disappointment they think that everything is going to ruin, that theirs is the hardest lot of all, that they are surely coming to want.” Ellen G. Jesus came to find lost people. The church is full of sinners just like the hospital is full of sick people. So don’t be upset, when someone rub you the wrong way at church. You can never become so sophisticated that you forget where you are coming from. Just whisper a prayer for that sick soul and remember that person is a sinner just like you, and is seeking God’s grace and mercy just like you too. People look on the outside but God looks at the heart (the inside). Lord Jesus help me to love the unlovely and help others to love me when I am unlovely too. You came to save us all from sin and ‘there is none Righteous”. Romans 3:10 NKJV) (NOT even in the church) Take Up the Cross and Follow Jesus and don’t sweat the small stuff.
