Almighty God and Father, in the beginning on the sixth day You created man in Your image, after You had created a beautiful and perfect world. As I awake this morning and start a new day, I thank You for creating me and giving me life in this world. I know that I do not always use my life in ways that are pleasing to You. Sin destroyed the perfect world You created, and so I thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who on the seventh day finished His work and rested that day. You provided for my forgiveness and re-creation. Thank You for salvation. Help me to honor You in all that I say and do, that others may see in me the goodness of Your creating love. O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear my prayer. Amen.
