“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you..” 1 Thessalonians 5:18. NKJV)
This command is an assurance that even the things which appear to be against us will work for our good. God would not bid us be thankful for that which would do us harm.
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?”
“In the day of trouble He shall keep me secretly in His pavilion:
In the covert of His tabernacle shall He hide me; . . .
And I will offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy;
I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.” Psalm 27:1-6 NKJV)
